Gold Solal Marketing Award to WEBUBBLE V2

Kanyon’s second version of its popular augmented reality mobile app, WeBubble, won a Gold Award in the Sales Activation category of the Solal Marketing Awards organized by the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).

WeBubble V2 offers Kanyon guests the chance to gain points by popping augmented reality “score balloons” that appear on their phones in Kanyon, which can then be used for a 30% discount at restaurants and rewards from stores. WeBubble V2 was named the best and most original campaign for increasing sales in a shopping center by the ICSC Solal Marketing Awards, and was presented the Gold Award in the Sales Activation category.

The ICSC Solal Marketing Awards, organized by the ICSC, recognizes the most successful retail marketing campaigns of shopping centers across Europe and South Africa every year. Seen as the benchmark of quality throughout the industry, the 2017 ICSC Solal Marketing Awards were announced on 8 June 2018 in Vienna. This year, the Solal Marketing Awards evaluated 221 projects from 21 countries, including the UK, Italy, Spain, Norway, Russia, Poland, Portugal and Denmark. WeBubble V2, Kanyon’s mobile app, placed first in the Sales Activation category to win the Gold.
